Angela's Slice of Italy

Updated: Apr 5

"Pizza is the best thing that came out of Italy." - Unknown

A Slice of Heaven - Pizza, Food, & Desserts

This Italian pizza is one Angela Rolph can’t do without. It's a well-sauced, small pizza that is very fresh.

Grapes From the Vineyard

The sweet grapes are deep purple, like the rich wine they're paired with. Angela looks forward to trying the Dolcetto wine.

Italian Gelato

Angela loves waffle cones, especially the pistachio gelato, with a shortbread cookie stuck in it that taunts the palate.

Angela’s Favorite Places to Shop in Italy

Angela declares that this unique Chanel luxury purse from the Artisanal Cornucopia in Rome, Italy, is one of the best.

Angela’s Top Travel Destination

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is located in Pisa, Italy. The tower was originally built to show off (with stolen money). It has leaned in multiple directions. Mussolini hated the tower and made it worse by causing it to lean more.

What are the Italian People like?

It is said that Italians are very agreeable, and the men are very suave and sophisticated.

You can find Angela at the Beach

This beach in Sardinia, Italy, has crystal-clear blue waters and many sunbathers. There are many stunning beaches scattered across Italy. Some of my favorites are in Sicily.

The inspiring awe of the Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain in Rome is one of Angela’s favorite pieces of architecture in Rome. The original architect died before its completion. The fountain site is one of Rome's oldest water sources. The Trevi Fountain links back to Rome's troubled past.

Angela's Go to Coffee Places

Angela wants to try the best place in Rome to get coffee, La Casa Del Caffè Tazza D’Oro. In this picture, the coffee is extra strong and rich. Italians love their coffee.

Milan Cathedral-Angela's Favorite Cathedral in Italy

Magnificent Italian cathedrals stand out above the crowd with grace and beauty. Angela has all of them on her bucket list. Milan Cathedral's beauty has no comparison. It is located in Lombardy, Italy.

Wonderous Libraries of Italy

Angela would die to visit a gorgeous Italian library like this one. The books would be endless. The architecture is so incredible. Imagine all the history books and important documents stashed away in these libraries.

Hang it on the Vine

Angela wants to go to an Italian vineyard as the number one thing to do on her bucket list in Italy. She wants to know the process of making grapes into wine and walk through the vineyard.

Tours/Guides

To fully explore all of Italy's wonders, Angela recommends getting a tour guide to help immerse yourself in Italy's small and big wonders. She also recommends taking the time to get to know Italy and its people and enjoy your time exploring new things every day.

The Floating City of Love

Angela's top destination is Venice, Italy. She wants to ride the gondola with her beloved. The city is rich in culture and history. Isn't it fascinating to live in a floating city? By 2030, it may be floating away for good.

The Pantheon

Angela has this at the top of her bucket list for Rome. The most preserved monument of Ancient Rome is the Pantheon. Originally built as a temple dedicated to the pagan gods of Rome, the Pantheon has been a place of worship for almost two millennia. "Pantheon" is a Greek word meaning “honor all gods,” so the building had special significance during the Roman Empire.
